How Can I Help Gatewood Elementary?
Volunteers contribute their skills in ways large and small to help ALL of our students to succeed.
Volunteer Your Time
Join the PTA. The Gatewood PTA always needs your help to make our events and fundraisers a Success!
Become a GATOR Aide . GATOR Aides assist their child’s teacher and team in finding the volunteer support they need in the classroom, allowing the teacher to focus on teaching. Coordinator, Jena Ingrham jenaingrham@yahoo.com
Volunteer in the classroom. The best way to reduce the Student: Teacher ratio is to have parents helping. Tutor a child in reading, chaperone a field trip, help with stuffing folders, or copying lessons. Combined volunteer minutes free up teacher hours for teaching.
Participate in a Fundraiser. The PTA runs a variety of fundraisers throughout the year. These include a fall cookie dough sale, a holiday wreath sale, Book Fair, the Bid for Kids Annual Auction, and our annual Walk-a-Thon.
Raise Money by Shopping
Shop Amazon.com through the Gatewood Link. Save this link to your Favorites. Amazon donates 10% of purchases made through this link to the school!
Install the Benefit App on your phone. The Benefit App will donate a percentage of Gift Card purchases directly to Gatewood PTA. Find the app in the Apple Store or Google Play Store.
Register your Target Redcard for Gatewood Elementary. Target will donate 1% of your purchases to Gatewood. Visit or call 1-800-316-6142 to sign up. Ask your friends and family to do the same!
Save General Mills Box Tops for Education and Campbell’s Soup UPC signs. Turn them in to the box outside the office and the PTA will redeem them for school $.
Save your Thriftway receipts. Place your Thriftway receipts in the Thriftway box next to the office. The school receives 1% of sales back!
