Gatewood Reads

The Gatewood Library is kicking off the third year of our school-wide reading program, Gatewood Reads!

Fifty award-winning books have been chosen that span a wide range of reading levels and interests. The books have been organized into a Genre list, as well as a Reading Level list. Posters of the books can also be seen in the library and around the school.

To enter our monthly drawing, Select a Book from the list and Read It! Books can be read independently or aloud. When finished with the book, fill out a Gatewood Reads Book Ticket and drop it in the ballot box during library period.

Four lucky student readers and one staff member will be drawn each month. Winners will get their pictures taken for a poster that will be hung in the library and given to each student at the end of the year. And, students who read at least 45 of the books get a special poster and a pizza party with Ms. Jackie in the library!

Each student and staff member is encouraged to read at least one Gatewood Reads book this year. So come on, Gatewood Gators – Let’s Get Reading!!
